From IT Studies to Project Management
Magali studied IT and specialized in applied informatics with a focus on networks and systems. Initially aspiring to work in cybersecurity, her career path shifted toward project coordination and eventually project management. This evolution allowed her to combine her technical knowledge with her passion for planning and organization.
“Taking charge of projects and helping the team succeed is what I love most,” she shares. “My background in IT helps me understand the technical details, but my focus now is on creating structure and ensuring every project runs smoothly.”
Thriving in a Supportive Environment
Since joining IdentIT, Magali has thrived in an environment characterized by openness, collaboration, and short communication lines. These factors made a significant impact on her professional growth.
“There’s no strict hierarchy here, which makes it so much easier to have open conversations,” she explains. “Whether it’s about technical challenges or broader project management topics, I can always count on my colleagues for support. The guidance I’ve received, especially for new cases, has been invaluable.”
Finding Fulfillment in Helping Others
For Magali, the most rewarding part of her role is easing the workload of her team and ensuring both colleagues and clients are satisfied with the outcomes.
“It’s incredibly fulfilling to help others focus on what they do best, knowing that I’m making their work easier,” she shares. “When the team is proud of what they’ve delivered and the client is thrilled with the outcome, that’s when I know I’ve succeeded.”
Her approach focuses on offering encouragement and recognizing achievements. Magali believes in the power of positive feedback and simple gestures of appreciation.
“Acknowledging a job well done is important. It motivates people and reminds them that their efforts matter.”
Managing Challenges with Focus and Determination
In her role, Magali encounters challenges such as balancing tight timelines, budget constraints, and unexpected changes in project scope. She highlights the importance of staying organized and communicating effectively to manage these hurdles.
“You have to stay professional and client-friendly, but also assertive when needed,” she says. “With the right structure and planning, even the most complex projects can be managed.”
Reflecting on the importance of assertiveness, Magali highlights the support she has received through external communication training provided by a partner company. These tailor-made sessions help her refine her skills in navigating challenging conversations and growing her confidence. “It’s still a work in progress, but I value the opportunity to continuously improve,” she adds.
Advice for Aspiring Project Managers
Looking ahead, Magali hopes to guide junior colleagues in the future, just as she is being supported today. Her advice for anyone considering a role at the company is to embrace the opportunities for growth and collaboration.
